<div>The First Public Information Centre for the Tutela Heights Water Servicing Municipal Class Environmental Assessment and the Tutela Heights Wastewater Servicing Municipal Class Environmental Assessment.</div>
<div>It will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015</div>
<div>Mount Pleasant Community Centre</div>
<div>711 Mount Pleasant Road</div>
<div>Mount Pleasant, ON</div>
<div>Time is 4;30 until 7:30</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>This meeting will not be about plans for Walton's subdivision. It will only be to receive input from the public regarding the servicing for water and wastewater. There will be story boards explaining the process and the staff and consultant will be present to answer questions and listen to those who attend. There will be comment sheets to fill out that will become part of the public record (except for your name). The more public that show up to provide input the better.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Some food for thought:</div>
<div>Looking back at the original groundwater assessment done by Stantec for Walton, they are estimating 366,000L/Day flow into this system. This equates, just for your information, to approximately 4,701 tanker trucks (milk size) per year on the soils of Tutela, apparently heading in a northerly flow. They also make reference to the need for dilution of that "effluent" so we assume that the actual volume of required water will be many more times that volume. That is an awful lot of water on clay soil. Could this reult in lots of flooded basements. We wonder if Walton will pick up the cost for that. Also, Mayor Eddy once mentioned to us that he would never approve any development that relied on a well as it's source of water. There should be many concerns about the long term viability of relying on such a source for so much water. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>This is the first of four PIC's. Our input is important so please try to attend and also encourage your neighbours to come out. We are heading into an intense time in this fight and no matter what side of the fence you are on it is up to you to make sure that we maintain the quality of life that we expect in Tutela.</div>
