Region is expressing serious concerns with regards to the landfill, EMS services, regional roads, ESL's, and other Regional things. Challenge is that this only needs City approval and since it is considered retail zoning it won't come before Regional Council at all. Costco despite drawing 5,500 cars per day is being treated the same and put through the same process as much less intensive retail such as a small plaza with a pizzeria or dry cleaner.</div><div><br></div><div>It is extremely troubling, particularly when City Staff is recommending a full approval on Monday night with no public engagement, no comments from police, fire EMS, Grand River Transit or even municipalities a few hundred meters away.</div><div><br></div><div>I've attached the Regional report below that outlines five possible partial solutions - none of which will be in place for the projected opening day and some like sidewalks or a second access road to the development not even in place until four years after opening in 2018.</div><div><br></div><div>Kevin.</div><div><br></div><div></div></body></html>
