hasn’t worked out for us to have a meeting before the next GREN meeting to
discuss the website. I would now like to do it in the week after the GREN
meeting.

Fortunately the GREN vs WREN e-mails seem to have ended. I
propose that we put “Report from WREN meeting” on the agenda for the GREN
meeting next Thursday. I think to not put WREN on the agenda would look like we
were burying our heads in the sand and would create further tensions. I do not
see this, however, as a continuation of the “dialogue” that was going on in the
e-mails. I see it as a way to get people more informed of WREN. Should I invite
someone from WREN to come to the meeting to fill people in on WREN, etc. or
should we just have reports from the GREN people who attended the WREN meeting?
The PRO of having a WREN person there is that we will gain more detail on WREN
and their plans and it will be more complete. The ANTI is that the GREN members
who attended may feel less open in saying what they thought of the meeting. We
also must remember, however, that it is likely that WREN will know that a report
on the WREN meeting is on our agenda and will show up anyway because some of
them are on our GREN e-mail list.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW

Wednesday to explore the situation. I do not see the outcome of that meeting as
being something brought to the meeting on Thursday – the next day after the
WREN-GREN meeting.

It is because of these events that I think it is
essential that we have a GREN Executive meeting as soon after the full GREN
meeting as possible so we can have a serious discussion on the next steps
forward and on the discussion Kevin and I have had. We also can then discuss our
website, because the WREN-GREN relationship may affect the website
needs.

John

--
John Jackson
17 Major Street
Kitchener,
