My mother’s lung cancer has metastasized to two areas in her brain and my father’s dementia has reached the point where he needs support. Ah, the things we have to look forward to. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Should get some idea of what kind of treatment my mother will get when we meet with the oncologist a week today. We have a family camping trip planned for the following week and I’m hoping my mother’s sister in BC will be able to stay with her then. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>But right now it’s just an endless round of doctor’s visits, tests, getting results of tests, lawyer visit and social worker visit next week and paperwork…<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>But I’m getting out for a few bike rides a day in my childhood neighbourhood – rode to an old classmate’s home tonight and had a nice visit. Even just going to the grocery store has become an exciting adventure – especially with my dad in tow.
