<DIV>My name is Darren Price, and I am the Lead Coordinator of a community based group that is organizing Earth Hour festivities at Kitchener City Hall.  Earth Hour is an annual event where people around the world turn their lights off for one hour in recognition of Global Climate Change.  If you would like more information about Earth Hour, check out www.earthhour.org The day and time for this year's Earth Hour is Saturday March 27th, 8:30 - 9:30pm.</DIV>

<DIV>This is the third year we will be holding festivities at City Hall.  Last year we had approximately 300 people show up for live music and entertainment from local performers, and C.R.E.W (Community Renewable Energy Waterloo) had a booth present and reported great contact with the community about renewable energy.  This year, with support from the City we are planning to make it bigger and better for everyone.  We again will be having live music and entertainment from 4:00 to 10:00pm.  The rotunda will be available for local organizations (such as GREN) and businesses related to the sustainable movement to set up tables and connect with the community.  The rotunda will be open to the public until 8:00pm; leaving 30 minutes to clean up and head outside for the 8:30 'lights out hour'.</DIV>

<DIV>I was pointed in the direction of GREN suggesting you might, "send out an announcement." Any sort of networking and informing GREN might be willing to do would certainly be appreciated.  I would also like to offer a table at our event if that is a way GREN would be interested in participating.  Let me know when you can if this is indeed of interest.</DIV>
