groups – not sure if Paul is a “group”, but the KW Greens are interested too.

Susan, I have proposed to the Princess Cinema to show ar a timely documentary
titled, " Taken for a Ride" from 1996. It is about the destruction of the
streetcar lines throughout <SPAN class=yshortcuts>North America</SPAN>,
including KW, by General Motors who promoted highways and buying up<BR>bus
companies to replace streetcars so there was more rooms for the
cars..<BR> <BR>In my opinion there has never been a better documentary on
the subject. Considering the Region of Waterloos decision to bring back
streetcars (now called <SPAN class=yshortcuts>light rail</SPAN>) to the
communities I feel this would be a very interesting topic. I would do a
question and answer session relating to the demise of our own systems in
the late 1950s. <BR><BR>I was wanted ask GREN to help sponsor it. NO I am not
