See forwarded e-mail below. They've asked me to speak on the GLWQA as part of their field days in the Grand River.

Look at the third through fifth paragraphs to see whether there is a project related to the Grand that we might be interested in working with these grad students on.

> We’re seeking partners who are currently working on a problem related to watershed health in the Grand River Watershed. Partners will be paired with a group of graduate students who will frame the problem and a potential solution for their final group project (see project description attached to this email). The project outcome will be a proposal for one of the potential solutions, which could include monitoring programs, restoration initiatives, or research projects. The goal will be to create proposals that our partner organizations could use in the future for project development and funding requests.
>
> Students will form groups at the end of the field week and reach out to their partners the following week. Partners will be asked to be available to answer student questions and provide feedback on problem formulation and proposed solutions. We anticipate the time commitment will be up to two hours per week during September and October.
>
> Water 602 is a condensed course, running this year from August 29th to October 28th. The students will be focused on workshops and field days during the first week and then turn their attention to their group projects for the remainder of the course. The course ends on October 28th with group presentations at a networking event hosted by the Water Institute. All guest speakers and partners will be invited to join us at the networking event.

> If you are interested, please let us know a time that is convenient for you for us to set up a call to discuss the details further.

August 30 could also be possible but I am facilitating a Lake Superior citizens call that day to receive input from the public on issues in that Lake related to the GLWQA. It is officially supposed to be done by 4 but it is risky because I have no idea yet of how many people will want to provide comments so can't run off on them if there is still a waiting list.

I'll let you know when I confirm and see if we can set up a location near you. We're currently considering field locations at Filsinger Park and Waterloo Park.

>>> Nancy Goucher suggested that I contact you to see if you would be interested in participating as a speaker for an upcoming course. Water 602 is a graduate-level course delivered by the University of Waterloo’s Water Institute. The course involves masters and PhD students from departments across campus, including math, science, engineering, environment, and architecture. We’ve designed the course curriculum to teach students about the various activities and processes that influence watershed health, focusing on the Grand River Watershed.
>>>
>>> We’ll travel with students from the upper to the lower Grand River Watershed over three days at the end of August (August 30th to Sept 1st). During these field days, we invite guests to meet us at locations throughout the watershed to speak to students about various watershed issues and management practices.
>>>
>>> We ask each speaker to give a 15 to 30-minute talk and allow 15 minutes for student questions. We anticipate each speaker’s total time commitment to be an hour.
>>>
>>> We’re hoping you could speak to our students about the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement.
>>>
