Dear,

I am writing on behalf of environmental organizations in Waterloo Region 
to ask if you would be willing to interview two provincial candidates 
for (riding name) on Zoom. The recorded interviews will be posted on a 
dedicated YouTube station, Waterloo Region Elections.

Each candidate will be sent (five/four) province-wide and (one or two) 
riding-based, questions about their policies addressing climate change, 
biodiversity, toxics and more. We are asking you and others in our 
community, who are not directly associated with the region’s 
environmental community, to do these interviews to expand our reach 
beyond “the usual suspects.”

Each interview should take from 10 – 15 minutes on Zoom.

Based on your availability, we will contact the candidates to set up the 
time and Zoom link. We will also be there behind the scenes to look 
after recording the interview. Once the interviews are uploaded on 
Waterloo Region Elections, we would greatly appreciate you sharing that 
link with your network.

The election is June 2, 2022, so all interviews need to be completed by 
May 7 and uploaded by May 14 to give enough time to spread the word.

Please advise your interest and availability by Monday April 25 and we 
will be in touch with you to finalize arrangements.
