These are the candidates for Kitchener-Conestoga listed on the CBC website:

  * Liberal Tim Louis (incumbent).
  * Conservative Carlene Hawley.
  * Green's Owen Bradley.
  * People's Party candidate Kevin Depuis.
  * Veterans Coalition Party of Canada candidate Matthew Correia.

I have a Zoom account, have hosted Zoom events by invitation, but
haven't done anything that's open to the general public. I'm pretty sure
you can get just get Zoom for a month, so maybe that would be one route
to go for our groups, like GREN, for example, to host an event. If REEP
could compile questions from all of us and what they have already, we
would just need to get invites out to the candidates for Sept 8 for 7 to
9, we could probably follow the same format we had for live forums where
they are each given 2 minutes or so to speak, then each given the
opportunity to answer specific questions which we could provide
beforehand, and then have someone monitoring the chat box for questions
from people attending for the last 30 minutes or so. And promote through
our collective networks. Need to commit to this quickly. I'm cottaging
Aug 28 to Sept 4, but would hate to see us miss an opportunity to do this.

If we go this route, Tova, would you be willing to moderate again for
Kitchener-Conestoga? You did such a wonderful job last time! :-)

Should be pretty straightforward to do.

Susan

I will speak to Laura tomorrow who is organizing the Cambridge event at rare - perhaps we can piggyback on the model and copy it/ co-promote it for our riding. I'm not sure if both Reep and rare have a Zoom account with the webinar feature - I know rare does. If yes, we could probably hold parallel events on Zoom fairly easily assuming one of us can manage the tech side of it.

They probably have to be on Zoom, which might make it easier to organize. I'm prepared to help with one for my riding of Kitchener-Conestoga. Who's up for this?
