[GREN-Exec] Greenbelt contract

 Kevin and I talked last night about the status of the contract through Environment Hamilton on the Greenbelt matters. The contract has been signed. The Greenbelt group is organizing a province-wide zoom meeting for later this month for the groups who have been involved in the issue. As part of our contract, they expect us to reach out to about 20 groups in our extended area to encourage them to come on to the meeting. They are not asking us to actually organize the meeting. Kevin basically left it that he would get to calling them – among all the other insane amount of items that he is doing.

 I did not discuss the suggestions below with Kevin because it entered my mind after we stopped talking, but I propose the following to share the load:

1) Kevin send us the list of groups that the Greenbelt group sent us to contact and we each take a few people from the list to call. We both think it would be better to make phone contact with each instead of just sending out a mass e-mail. We should also think about enlisting a couple of other people from our membership to help with these calls.

2) Kevin send us a brief note with the details of the meeting, its purpose, etc. to help us in making the calls.

 Susan K, I have included you in this e-mail to keep you informed and to not be making decisions on your behalf by excluding you. But I certainly am not expecting you to participate in making phone calls at this time.
