I am writing to let you know about an opportunity to sign on to the attached letter opposing the Ontario government’s decision to suspend all governmental proposals from key requirements of the Environmental Bill of Rights.

CELA is welcoming sign-ons to a letter we have drafted responding to the province's new regulation <https://www.ontario.ca/laws/regulation/r20115> suspending all governmental proposals from key requirements of the Environmental Bill of Rights.

If you wish to sign on, please send me your name, title, organization name & logo by the end of day Thursday April 16.

As noted in the attached letter, we are requesting the province:

  1.  Repeal the new regulation
  2.  Defer all decisions on environmental legislative and regulatory reforms/matters under Part II of the EBR
  3.  Extend all comment periods currently running under the EBR
