The Hold the Line organizers are also interested. We had partnered with REEP, Sustainable Waterloo Region and rare last time. We could also draw in Alternatives and WREN I’m sure.

Please read below about possible all candidates meeting like the one we did last municipal election. Do you think we should join in on this with other groups?
If you think we should, please let us know about what you would you do differently, if anything, from last time, and what you thought made it successful.
We should decide very soon because it is important to set a date right away so we can get it into all the candidates' calendars right away.

Hi Mary Jane (and copying John Jackson),
I think we definitely should with DoFo dismantling everything environment-related in the province. More important than ever to get good municipal leaders.
I think we can get “the usual suspects” to co-sponsor – REEP, GREN, SWR, rare, WREN – anyone else you’d like to add? Were you happy with the format last time? If memory serves, I think we invited all the candidates in the Region and gave them 2 minutes each and presented them by Ward, had refreshments, and I think someone from REEP recorded it and you posted it on your website. I believe the highlight was Cheryl with the squeaky toy giving everyone a 10 second warning. 8-)
The location was great, and we should be able to ask Tova if they’d be willing to host again. I never remember the name of that company ...
BTW, I seem to have got myself hired as a freelance columnist for the Record. I’ll be writing a bi-weekly column on the op-ed pages about the environment. Feed me everything you have. The new editor in chief wants “locally-focused, informative and (to) help build our knowledge and citizenry.”
We’re at a cottage until Saturday, but can talk when I get back.
Best,
Susan

Hi Susan,
Any thoughts of holding another forum for candidates for the upcoming municipal election?
