[GREN-Exec] can't make next GREN meeting

Just clued in that I won’t be able to make the GREN meeting next week as I will be, uh, indisposed. Colonoscopy the next morning. Sigh...cataract surgery this week...starting to sound like an old person.

Hello - I had read in an internal memo from city of Kitchener, regarding 

a environmental matter and lighting at night, that GREN was providing 

input to the city for the UDM updates being authored. Is this correct 

and can you tell me what areas you are inputting on?

 

I have been for the past 10 years doing advocacy for dark skies and 

reducing light pollution which effects wildlife, insects and plant 

species. I have been for a long time providing input on various matters 

and have done so (and still am) for the UDM updates Kitchener is 

drafting. My area of concern is specifically artificial light at night, 

which crosses paths with naturalists and environmental groups.

 

Would be interesting in any further info you can provide.
