Good evening,

Monday, October 31st at 5:00pm is the deadline for comments and feedback on 
the proposed amendments to the four provincial land use plans including the 
Greenbelt Act and the Growth Plan (Places to Grow Act).

While I had hoped to have a draft of comments/feedback from GREN to the 
provincial government completed earlier, please find attached a draft letter 
that I am proposing that John Jackson complete/sign and send in before the 
deadline on behalf of GREN.  My apologies there isn't more time for shared 
editing, group feedback, etc.  Environmental groups across the province have 
been scrambling to meet this deadline and it has been a very busy few weeks 
with the Ontario Greenbelt Alliance, Ontario Nature, Grow The Greenbelt 
Campaign, Environmental Defence, etc.  While my wording and grammar in this 
letter may not be perfect I have tried to capture many of the key points and 
issues groups across our watershed and province are commenting on and feel 
the government needs to address.

I will also send a reminder to the GREN membership about the pending 
deadline to encourage them to submit their own feedback to the government if 
they haven't already.

John - I would recommend that the letter be sent to:

I would also recommend uploading it as well directly to the ministry website 
at:

Please share any ideas or questions and hopefully we can make the deadline.
