Susan,

I would suggest following up with them.  I know both David Drewe and Harold Albrecht fairly well and received a similar e-mail from them.  It turns out the government really doesn't know who to contact about the environment in this area and is looking for who they should be talking too.  Apparently there aren't any specifics at this point - the minister is just trying to figure out who should be involved/consulted should something come up regarding water, air quality, forests, wetlands, etc..  

I'll keep you posted if I learn anything more.
