[GREN-Exec] FW: GREN Meeting?

I'm going to the Dec. 5 meeting. Anyone else going? Send on your
thoughts/ideas for what GREN wants to commit to.

My understanding from our last meeting is that in December we would
encourage people to go to the environmental networking meeting on December
5th instead of holding our own meeting.
Who on our executive is going to the meeting? Unfortunately, I will be in
Buffalo that part of the week and will not be able to make it. 

Kevin, can you please send out the invite to Wednesday's meeting to the
whole GREN list along with a small paragraph about why the meeting is
important?

As the executive, we should consider commitments or networking offers for
follow-up to that meeting that we may be willing to make at the meeting this
Wednesday. Any ideas on this? For example, broaden our bi-monthly meetings?
Have our website be a central calendar or place where people can post their
issues? We need to make sure that if we make offers like this that we have
the resources and time to fulfil the commitments. Please let's have a
dialogue by e-mail before Wednesday among the executive on this matter.


On other updates, I have been working with the people in Brant County on
pulling together a joint meeting in January. It looks like we will be
meeting on a Tuesday. We are trying to get the date tied down asap.

We are also working with Bob Burtt's leadership on having a major meeting in
March on water efficiency and conservation. We are co-planning this with
RARE and Great Lakes United.

I can't remember.  Did we book or plan for a GREN Meeting in December or
should we consider/promote the upcoming Wednesday, December 5th meeting of
environmental groups from across Waterloo Region as our December meeting
event?
