I don't believe John has forwarded this, so I am. I have pretty well no
interest in participating in public events anymore, but also don't want to
discourage someone who does. Should we give the GREN Exec. Seal of Approval
for this?
But I am considering charging a nominal fee to Lulu for using "connecting
the dots" as it is the motto of my secret society, HUGS. Okay. So it's
actually just "connect the dots", but close enough. 8-)
Any opinions Kevin, from your current vantage point?

Subject: Meeting tonight re: May 5th event
Hi folks
Quick update regarding Connecting the Dots Waterloo. I'll be meeting with
WCEAC tonight to share the idea of the event to see how the City of Waterloo
could be involved with the event.
First United Church on William Street is available. I've booked the facility
from from 1:30pm-4pm on Saturday May 5th. Participants confirmed include
Waterloo Regional Waste Management, TransitionKW and the UW Climate Change
Action.
Groups that voiced an interest but are currently unconfirmed (pending board
discussions) include: Sustainable Waterloo, CREW, Public Health and REEP,
the KW Humane Society and GREN.
I'm working on establishing guest speakers for the event. TransitionKW will
be doing one and I'm getting in touch with the folks who recently did a
study on climate change and homelessness. (The location of their study was
Waterloo.)
Would GREN be interested in hosting a display and/or a presentation
regarding the Lake Erie Pipeline? I'd love to showcase that to help inform
the public of the situation. If your interested, let me know.
Lulu :0)
