Hi Exec-

 

I think we should definitely have Lorrie Minshall speak to us on the GRCA plan project. But I would suggest having her at the next GREN or a subsequent meeting rather than this coming one---since we are just getting sorted out for this year. (And I can be there this time!)

 

Any thoughts?

I see from your website that you have a meeting scheduled for Sept 28th and I am wondering if you might have 10-15 minutes to spare on your agenda?

 

As you may be aware, the we are in the midst of undertaking a three-year project to develop a new Water Management Plan for the Grand River watershed.

The Water Management Plan will outline the actions water management agencies will need to take to address those issues and others. The plan is scheduled to be completed by the spring of 2013 and is being developed by the GRCA, municipalities, provincial agencies, federal departments, First Nations and others, who are partners to the plan.

 

In the coming months, we would like to organize a meeting of organizations and non-profit groups that have an interest in the issues covered by the water management plan to gain their input on the information that has been assembled so far.

 

I’m wondering if you would be interested to have Lorrie Minshall, Direction of the Water Management Plan and myself come talk to you about this to gauge your interest and get feedback.
