We definitely think we should do this. I am available to go that evening.
I hadn't received anything on this. Is. It still possible to have any impact on the advance questions?

Hi Kevin-
I can’t confirm attendance for me on Sept 29, but I will try. Yes, I think it would be great for GREN to participate and sign on. A question about their initiatives to encourage water conservation in the province—or on the greenbelt extending here, are the ones I’d propose. You could word that well, Kevin, if you are so willing.

GREN Executive,
I'm not sure who all is being included in this e-mail loop. Below is a broad group of local environmental organizations that have been organizing a local debate on key environmental issues leading up to the provincial election.
We all know how important this election is going to be towards the environment and issues we have worked for years on.
This group seems to be well organized and is looking for GREN's participation. I think that we should help them with a question on conservation and some people attending the event as they are seeking.
Please let me know any questions, concerns or ideas. I will keep moving forward with them in the meantime.
Cheers,
Kevin.

Now that the Forum is shaping up nicely for Thursday September 29,
do you want to be listed on the event publicity as an organizing partner?
The "price" for this would be a commitment to bring at least 7 people from your network out to the event.
(plus any other help you want to give).
Please let me know by Monday morning at the latest, whether or not your organization wants to be listed on the event publicity.
Following is a draft media release about the event.
Note that a couple of details are not pinned down yet, so please do not distribute this information yet.
I will send out a final version shortly.
Provincial Election Forum on Environmental Issues DRAFT media release
Do you care about the environment?
Do you wonder which party will do the best job to protect it?

Each party representative will answer questions given to them in advance by the community partners organizing the event. Topics will include
• environmental justice
• heritage preservation and reducing construction waste going to landfills
• water safety ,including the impact of the Melancthon Quarry
• energy
• transportation
Party representatives will also answer questions from the floor.
Eric Davis, Kitchener-Waterloo riding candidate, will represent the Liberal Party. Cameron Dearlove, Kitchener Centre candidate, will represent the NDP. Green Party representative will be Mark Vercouteren Kitchener Centre (or J.D. McGuire, Kitchener-Waterloo). Progressive Conservative Party representative has not been confirmed.
This forum has been organized by a broad group of Waterloo Region environmental organizations, who want to make sure environmental issues get discussed during the provincial election campaign.
Organizing partners are **note** to be confirmed
