Hi folks

Just touching base with updates. 

Our ad was in today's KW record with the correct date and time. It will be
in the calendar section from now until the time of the event.

I spoke with KW Transitions at their sustainability event today and pitched
our event to the crowd of 50 plus folks there as well. I know a few who were
interested in attending.

We've got a power point presentation set up all ready to go at the church.
They're providing us with a movie screen and a power point projector for our
event. They are a God-send. They haven't charged us a penny but have
graciously provided us with everything we need to do this event. 

I've purchased some nut free cookies and various juices in tetra packs for
refreshments.  I figured with juice boxes there is less chance of spill at
the church and I'll bring a recycle bin for them as well.  My daughter Diana
would like to pitch in to help gather her community hours for school if
possible so I'm getting her to craft signs and she mentioned she'd  love to
help with the juice and cookies and will gladly eat any leftovers. 

We have three tables in the foyer for display purposes. I bought three red
matching tablecloths at the dollar store just to fancy them up. If GREN has
any brochures or displays or sign up sheets for the night of the event now
is the time to get it all together. 

I've used survey monkey to get participants to mark down what time they are
available for the pre-event conference call.  (I excluded the specific times
that John isn't available.)  I'll get back to you ASAP as to what time works
best for all.

It's absolutely wonderful how this event is coming together. The United
Church has been absolutely amazing. We are so fortunate to have their
support.

In terms of giving thanks to everyone for their efforts, I'd love to see
GREN help with a donation for the legal fund for the case if possible. I'll
gladly donate $20 to help with that via GREN. 

Also if we could arrange thank you cards and perhaps a token gift for our
guests and for Eric Saunders for his assistance provided via the United
Church that would be wonderful.  I'm not sure what the protocol would be to
facilitate this, if a formal request needs goes through the executive
committee or not but if you could relay to the executives on my behalf I'd
appreciate it.  I'm not a member on that list so I can't email it myself but
if you could relay that would be super.
