Just googled to see if I could find anything.
1) Elora Environment Centre (Elora Centre for Environmental Excellence
- REEP works here)
2) There seems to be a group fighting something called the Highland
Quarry called North Dufferin Agricultural and Community Task Force that I
discovered on the Elora/Fergus Unitarian Church site (where, BTW, Michael
Gilbertson will be speaking this Sunday about his wife)
http://www.ndact.com/NDACT/North_Dufferin_Agricultural_%26_Community_Taskfor
ce.html. Don't know anything about them.
3) Elora Cataract Trailway Association
That's all I found, but I'd expect Norah would know more.

Are there any groups in that area that we can hear from?

How's this?
The Grand River Environmental Network wants to connect with other activists,
watchdogs, stewards and concerned citizens in the Elora/Fergus area. We will
be meeting in the Stage Room of the Elora Centre for the Arts, 75 Melville
St., on Thursday Oct. 15 at 7:15 and welcome you to join us and share your
eco-stories and challenges.
GREN members are working on sustainability issues that include protecting
the Waterloo Moraine, public transit, water fluoridation, urban sprawl and
water, water, water.
For more information, see www.gren.ca <http://www.gren.ca> . You can also
contact us at info at gren.ca. We look forward to seeing you on October 15th.
Re agenda:
1) K/W Santa Claus Parade Nov. 21 - do GREN members want to ride in parade?
2) Reminder - Wed. Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. GREN is co-sponsoring documentary "How
the Streetcar Died and Came Back to Life" at Princess in Waterloo, with
gelato at Whole Lotta Gelata following
3) ALUS - from Deb. S - Will GREN endorse ALUS and include link on GREN
website?
4) Sat. Oct. 24 - WPIRG Climate Action Project at Clay and Glass Museum 1 -
3 p.m.
5) GREN decision-making policy - weren't we going to re-address this?
6) Follow-up on LIMIT and newspaper ad
That's about all I can think of now.

Please get me thoughts as quickly as possible on topics for the GREN meeting
next week in Elora. Sorry for being behind on this. I have been totally
swamped this month.
Susan K, you are great at putting together interesting notices. Can you put
together a notice to be used to send out to groups in the area as well as to
the local paper.
Location is in Norah's message below.
