[GREN-Exec] bits and pieces

Hi GREN Exec,
A few things to discuss. 

1) GREN dance - have tentatively booked Legion on Regina in Waterloo for Friday June 12 (first available date) It will cost $250 plus tax includes bar and bartender, room holds 180, sell tickets for 10, we can bring our own snacks and have use of kitchen, David W can get us free DJ. 

I forgot to ask, but I expect we need to put down a deposit to hold it which I could do from the Dandelion Festival account or from GREN? 

2) GREN exec meeting at John's house. I'm not available Monday evenings anymore. 

3) Media Strategy

4) GREN participation at Kitchener Market Sat. April 25. Blooming Earth event. I have accepted on behalf of GREN and this will raise $150 honorarium which could cover cost of dancehall rental. 

5) GREN participation in Living Earth Festival. We've been asked to do a 5 minute talk at the Festival for Sustainability. I've accepted on behalf of GREN. If we've been wondering where all the young environmentalists in town are, this is probably it:

The Festival For Sustainability takes place on April 24, 2009, following the critical mass ride (around 6pm) at the Children's Museum downtown Kitchener.  It is being organized by myself, Kevin Sutton of Nudge, and Tanya Williams of Warmer.  This is what the event looks like so far.
 
6pm: The Critical Mass bike ride is welcomed at the Children's museum by Warmer and the Radical choir. 
6:15 Smooth transition into the Moving Choral landscape 
6:20 Unstruck performs piece on Water accompanied by cycle part percussion jam
6:25 Bottle/cycle flock 
6:40 lead people in for food and prep for Playback theatre
7:00 Playback theatre 
8:00 First set of speakers (3 speakers, 5minutes each)
8:15 Spoken word spotlight
9:15 second speaker set (3 speakers, 5minutes each)
9:30 Em Dainjah Soiree 
10:30 Third speaker set (3 speakers, 5minutes each)
10:45 J sun and Gerima 
11:45 drum circle leading to clean-up *loose jam/outro cleaned up and out of the space by 1am
