In a series of interviews and statements Chair Redman admitted that the province was the entity behind things from the onset, that it was the province that had demanded all the secrecy, refused any public meetings, and forced the Region of Waterloo down the disastrous path it has been on for this massive mega-industrial site.</div><div><br></div><div>Be it the Ontario Science Centre, the Greenbelt, Ontario Place, or numerous other provincial fiascos this Wilmot Land Assembly seems to fit the provincial pattern of not nearly enough planning, too little knowledge, no public consultation, lots of secret backroom meetings, and lots of very expensive bungling to try to make a bad idea from the onset somehow work. Quite simply we are trying to see if there have even been any studies done and the refusal to provide us with even just the names of such studies may be indicative that there are no studies to reference and proper planning studies have not even been undertaken or completed.</div><div><br></div><div>It certainly isn’t in the best public interest to have so much secrecy surrounding this massive proposed industrial development that has already been bungled so badly.
