<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;" class="">Hi GREN Folks,<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">A couple of updates:</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><b class="">1) GREN Website Live -</b> we finally have a GREN website live and functioning again! Check it out at <a href="http://www.gren.ca" class="">www.gren.ca</a></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Many thanks to Susan Koswan and Scott Wicken for all their hard work to completely revamp, re-write, and reprogram the GREN Website. We have been working with Scott since last March and I count more than 100 hundred e-mails back and forth as we struggled to figure out our old website, mailing list, and archives then port it all to a new platform, update all the content, find images, and get it working. Thanks to everyone who provided photos - we are working on photo credits and they will show up on the site in a upcoming update.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The site is still really basic, isn’t likely to win any awards but should work reliably, provide the needed information and it is set-up in a manner that Susan and I can easily update much of the content. We are appreciative of the funding from the Greenbelt Foundation we were able to obtain to help cover the costs of the site programming. Please share any questions or ideas and look for additional functionality in the weeks ahead as we get other parts of the site running such as the archives.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><b class="">2) Wilmot MZO -</b> please continue to send questions to the Wilmot Township Clerks for the developers as we have until January 28th and all concerns to the Wilmot Councillors until February 28th. The more that is learned about this proposed development the more it’s realized just how disruptive it will be Wilmot in addition to the province-wide consequences this MZO will have to the Regional government and Official Plan everywhere. The recent Council meeting is nearing 2,000 views online which is staggering for a small town Council meeting - but it shows just how many people across the province are watching what happens here. We need to do all that we can to ensure that Wilmot Councillors refuse this MZO request.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><b class="">3) Regional Official Plan Review - </b>watch for public consultations coming in the weeks ahead - this will be our opportunity to strongly support the new ambitious targets being proposed by Regional Staff.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Please share any questions or ideas.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Cheers,</div><div class="">Kevin. <br class=""><div class="">
