<p>The fifth annual Retailer Report Card is out and the results are startling. </p>
<p><strong>We graded six Canadian-owned market-leading retailers on their toxic chemical policies, and four earned an F! </strong>Alimentation Couche-Tard (Circle-K, Mac’s, Couche-Tard convenience stores), Metro, Sobeys, and Restaurants Brand International (Burger King, Popeyes, and Tim Hortons) are all failing to properly protect their customers and workers from toxic chemicals. </p>

The majority of these chemicals have not been tested for safety, and some are known to threaten human health and the environment. With the government’s slow progress to protect Canadians from harmful chemicals, we need retailers to step up and eliminate toxics from their products. </p>
