year’s recipient of the Hugh Whiteley Lifetime Achievement Award,
Norah Chaloner!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight:400;">The annual Hugh Whiteley Lifetime
Achievement Award celebrates the activism, advocacy, and dedication of
remarkable individuals to protecting water in the Canadian Great Lakes
Basin.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight:400;">Norah Chaloner has been a leading
advocate for water and environmental issues for well over 20 years,
and has been a central (and humble) factor in establishing and
bringing people to some of our community's most vital water &
environmental advocacy organizations.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight:400;">Over her life, she has contributed
to water protection through various campaigns against pipelines, mega
quarries, development, water privatization, and water bottling, to
name a few. Moreover, she has continually pushed the education,
engagement, and empowerment of others to find their own voice in
environmental advocacy.</span></p>
<p><strong>Help us celebrate the extraordinary contributions of Norah
Chaloner to water advocacy at the Hugh Whiteley Lifetime Achievement
Award ceremony, taking place this Monday, March 22nd - World Water Day
- at 7pm. </strong></p>
