<p class="Default"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;">The City staff would like to thank you all for your participation in the Hidden Valley Secondary Plan Review process. </span></p>
<p class="Default"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;"> </span></p>
<p class="Default"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;">The Council of the City of Kitchener passed the following resolutions at meeting held on Monday, June 24, 2019: </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"> </span></p>
<p style="margin-left: 9.0pt;" class="MsoNormal"><em>“That the Hidden Valley Land Use Master Plan, attached to report DSD-19-133 as Appendix A, be adopted and provide the basis for a City-initiated Secondary Plan (Official Plan Amendment), Zoning By-law Amendment, supporting technical studies and Wastewater (Sanitary) Municipal Class Environmental Assessment in 2020; and,</em></p>
<p style="margin-left: 9.0pt;" class="MsoNormal"><em> </em></p>
<p style="margin-left: 9.0pt;" class="MsoNormal"><em>That staff ensure as part of the Hidden Valley Land Use Master Plan a Health Impact Assessment and Source Water Protection Impact Study are completed; and further,</em></p>
<p style="margin-left: 9.0pt;" class="MsoNormal"><em> </em></p>
<p style="margin-left: 9.0pt;" class="MsoNormal"><em>That the Hidden Valley Land Use Master Plan also look at an option that does not include high-rise residential zoning as permitted use.”</em></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Here is the <a href="https://www.kitchener.ca/en/building-and-development/hidden-valley.aspx"> link</a> to Council approved Hidden Valley Land Use Master Plan. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">The next steps are that the City staff will prepare a Terms of Reference for the formal planning amendment studies and engineering sanitary assessment for 2020 as listed in the Land Use Master Plan. </span></p>
