The NEB made their decision on Enbridge Line 10 and permitted Enbridge to sell the pipe to Westover Express with lots of conditions that are likely going to cost them a fair bit of money to put together. It adds delay and conditions that might not pan out for them at all. We'll have to see what they choose to do. There was a SECOND anchor that hit Enbridge Line 5 in April. Enbridge's executives are promising to provide info on that soon. Global Energy Monitor reports that <span style="font-size: medium; color: rgb(61, 61, 61); font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; letter-spacing: 0.08px; word-spacing: 0.4px;">Enbridge Energy is engaging in a particularly risky expansion, according to Ted Nace, co-author of the report. He says Enbridge, the world's third largest pipeline company, has a heavy debt load. </span><span style="font-size: medium; color: rgb(61, 61, 61); font-family: Lato, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; letter-spacing: 0.08px; word-spacing: 0.4px;">That could leave the company at risk of needing government bailouts if global demand for natural gas stays stagnant, or falls.
