Lin Stevens died of a heart attack despite efforts to save her. She worked tirelessly beside many of us including her late close friend Claudette Millar on many environmental issues. She held the ground firm below my feet many times and was a staunch ally in protecting Barrie's Lake. Never one to be a blowhard, but came at it with a fierce gentleness of bringing "just the facts ma'am". She would be the one knocking on doors or dropping flyers to alert the community of the dangers to come. I have sat through many of her delegations at council over the past 15 years.
