Media reports noted how water evaporated before they hit the flames.</div><div id="yiv9960020415yui_3_16_0_1_1504430070661_4661" dir="ltr" style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:16px;"><br></div><div id="yiv9960020415yui_3_16_0_1_1504430070661_4661" dir="ltr" style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:16px;">The concerns for methane leaks are not limited to the area of BC. I live in Waterloo Region and in our area, we have abandoned natural gas and water wells producing methane creating similar risks. <span id="yiv9960020415yui_3_16_0_1_1504430070661_7827" style="font-size:medium;font-family:HelveticaNeue,;">Back in 2008 I spoke with a man named Orville B. Good, who was on the Citizens Water Monitoring and Citizens Land Fill Monitoring for Wilmot Township. He spoke to me of a farmer he knows with 500 acres. For every 50 acres there was a water well. Over the years the wells were not needed so as standard practice, farmers would filled them up with field stone and topped it up with sod. Line 9 passes through farm fields throughout South Western Ontario. The NEB deemed the issue "out of scope" because the scoped Environmental Assessment was limited to the area of Enbridge's pumping stations only without any regard for connecting pipes in between which was unreasonable in my view. </div><div id="yiv9960020415yui_3_16_0_1_1504430070661_7222" dir="ltr" style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:16px;"><br></div><div id="yiv9960020415yui_3_16_0_1_1504430070661_7222" dir="ltr" style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-size:16px;">Getting back to the issue of the jet streams, the warm air was drawn to fires in BC which amplified the thermals generated by Alberta tar sands creating a huge arc of warm air pushing into in the Arctic. The displaced cooler air flowed to towards Houston amplifying the amount of moisture experienced during Hurricane Harvey. The system rises up sharply drawing warm Gulf winds heading East Bound along that continued Jet stream. We can't rely on the courts to save us from climate change because the industry delays with appeals. Wall Street won't save us nor will the banks. They are too busy saving themselves. The Jet streams don't lie and we honestly don't have any time left to delay our duty to protect this planet's atmosphere or human lives. </div><div id="yiv9960020415yui_3_16_0_1_1504431869169_7625" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yiv9960020415yui_3_16_0_1_1504431869169_7625" dir="ltr">People are dying right now because of our nation's actions or lack thereof and there is so much fear of liability Canada seems afraid to move but the simple truth is this brinkmanship has to end. Honor the Treaties and cancel the pipelines. Stephen Harper gave the Prime Minister the power to veto all NEB decisions. Start using it. If the powers that be go after Canada, we can fight back with the Rights of Indigenous people in the International Criminal Court. </div></div><div style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);" id="yiv9960020415yui_3_16_0_1_1504431869169_5330" dir="ltr"><br></div><div style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);" id="yiv9960020415yui_3_16_0_1_1504431869169_5330" dir="ltr">We have choices to make here. I opt that we choose not to kill people.
