I previously submitted written comment to the NEB regarding this pipe specific to the risks of Hammer Effect. Basically you have heavy solvents travelling through the pipe under pressure. With the steep hills this pipe passes along, if there was an emergency shut down the flow of oil down steep hills and mountains would either bust your valves or jar the pipe off it's existing supports. The concern was never reasonably addressed by the Board and I want to know how they will do this engineering wise because to date we actually lack that technology today. My dad is fuel systems engineer for 47 years.
