I AM IN FULL AGREEMENT WITH THE RESPONDENTS.!!!!! (Who are wary of this action to act NOW) (NOW is NOT the time to do this …. is my heartfelt opinion) There’s a tremendous amount of IMPACT to be addressed . Thank you councilors Angela Veith and Karen Scian And Scott Witmer( and those I do not know of) for your verbal /email responses and concerns. Your ‘gut’ reactions will tell you HOW to pursue this ‘gut’ response. As you all well know, I and we want what’s BEST for THIS community ( and I have been involved since 1969… when my neighbor (who was the first to see it) in Forest Heights A New SUBDIVISION… that we needed STOP lights at McGarry and FischerHallman for the SAFETY of OUR KIDS crossing F H to the schools in Forest Hill. After a short meeting at Kitchener council and our observations and fear for our children was /were expressed the council had a brief discussion( or two) and our COUNCILORS saw the reality of this potential problem and voted to install ‘temporary’ STOP lights which have been permanent AND there since 1969. !!! ….end of discussion. After you not only ‘listen to’ but HEAR what the speakers are saying. (No, I cannot be there …but Kevin and Deb and all… will have my backing…just can’t do it …. ‘at this point in time’) There is NO Way THIS CAN GO FORWARD with the little bit of ‘homework’ that APPEARS to have been done on it. NO amount of proposed tax INCOME seems to be worth this DISASTROUS happening. ( at this point in time) YOU have the POWER to address this proposal and I expect that YOU will address it with full knowledge and ‘homework’ . You will do what YOU believe needs to be DONE ….at this ‘point in time.’ That’s why YOU were elected . I will have faith in your decisions.
