<p dir="ltr">On Fri Feb 28 the winning bidder for the $550,000 LRT contract will be announced.</p>
<p dir="ltr">At GREN last night we discussed the need to register delegations for the Region's Planning & Works committee on Tues aft March 4.  At this meeting Councillors will be voting yes or no to awarding the LRT contract to the recommended bidder.  Then Council is to ratify the decision on March 19.</p>

<p dir="ltr">It's important to have a pro-light-rail presence there on the 4th, because there are sure to be lots of negative delegations who are urging delay.</p>
<p dir="ltr">DEB, did you say you had a contact at Regional HQ that we should talk to to register?  Or should we just call up the clerk's office?</p>
<p dir="ltr">I was planning to register anyway, to speak against choosing SNC Lavalin (if, God forbid, it should be the winning bid).  If SNC isn't chosen, I'll use my time to talk on other aspects of LRT.</p>
<p dir="ltr">We have to register by 4 pm on Feb 28.  Deb, could you send around the contact you had?</p>
