The hearing will take place in Waterloo Regional Council Chambers at 10:30 am at 150 Fredrick Street in Kitchener.<span style="font-weight: bold;"> Case number is PL110080. </span> If any member of the public wishes to be a party or participant in this hearing regarding the protection of the Country Side Line, you must attend this meeting to express your desire to participate. If one wishes to be a party, this will involve some costs because you have to provide documentation to all parties in the form of sworn affidavits and provide your own experts. If
one wishes to be a participant, your personal statements made under oath are all that is required. If you wish to be a participant there are no costs involved nor can there be any threat of costs held against you.<br><br><p><strong>Climate Change and Agriculture</strong></p>

much attention has focused on reducing "food miles" as a way to reduce
our carbon footprint, food transportation only accounts for around 10%
of the greenhouse gas emissions produced by the food system: the
majority is emitted in the primary production phase through things such
as agricultural machinery and fertilizers. Ted Zettle, founding member
of the Organic Meadow
farmers' co-operative, will explore how agriculture can become more
sustainable and help mitigate the effects of climate change. Part of
the Roundtable's Healthy Food System Series. </p>
