I appreciate that you are devoting significant time to trying to improve our Region. </div><div><br></div><div>Certainly we agree that the Region's current approach to LRT is not adequate (I'm beginning to fear the possible reality of the expression "costly white elephant" -- although there is great potential in the Region's current LRT Plan if the P. Eng. 's there can miraculously overcome their Innovation-aversion and related risk-aversion.)</div><div><br></div><div>Your solution to the Region's LRT dilemma is more buses to be used in innovative ways. Mine is better designed buses -- also used in innovative ways -- integrated with a more cost-effective LRT system design running through the central core of the Tri-cities. I will complete soon a unique approach to my proposed enhancements of the Region' s LRT system design. </div><div><br></div><div>I must admit that you have been a bit of an inspiration to advance further my IDEAS about placing the LRT within the context of a "Collaborative IDEAS Culture". (Early on I had used "Collaborative Innovation Culture" on my election website.)</div><div><br></div><div>I agree with the sentiment in you sentence, "The (innovation) corridors would be an outward and visible sign of an innovative spirit and culture". However I am a little puzzled by your vague religious aside, "... are there any poets out there with a better replacement for 'inward and spirited grace' from the King James version?". While I agree with the IDEA of a God within us (the ancient mystical tradition), you seem to be suggesting that the IDEA for Innovation Corridors came through you from the Grace of our inner God. This is a very interesting possibility but is not a God-like use of Grace. Let me elaborate.</div><div><br></div><div>My theological understanding of Grace is that God does good things for Humans and other Creatures for no specific reason except from goodness of "Heart". Your motivation in proposing <b>Innovation Corridors</b> seems to have on object --<b> a new way to sell buses!</b> (For some unexplainable -- or inadequately explained -- reason you seem addicted to buses, with the occasional partial recovery into a "many-stop slower moving streetcar between K-W downtowns" state of mind.)</div><div><br></div><div>Despite the doubtful veracity of your implied God-source claim for the IDEA of Innovation Corridors, I find much food for thought here and an overlap with my new IDEAS of "IDEAS Streets" and "Sustainable Innovation Areas". Alas, it is indeed unfortunate that your very strong belief in the exclusive use of buses -- despite the intermittent wavering towards streetcar LRTs from your Soul -- makes any exploratory dialogue with you about new transit (and related) IDEAS very unlikely,</div><div><br></div><div>Regards,</div><div>Robert</div><div><br></div><div>P.S.: Further in the direction of a Regional "Collaborative IDEAS Culture", I just learned the the CPL will launch Feb 1 a new public libraries emphasis called, <b>"IDEAS Unlimited"</b>. The IDEAS avalanche is beginning!</div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div></blockquote></div></body></html>
