<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><DIV>Hi folks</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I sent an email off earlier but it did not register as send in my mailbox so I'll try this again.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I have presented my concerns regarding the West Side Lands a number of times at GREN meetings and I'm sure GREN members understand my position in regards to this matter. In my opinion the data is there to justify a request for assistance from Environmental Defence and CELA.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Earlier I asked for fiscal help earlier because I sincerely believed I could proceed into the next phase of facilitating an injunction etc. but in making the attempt I realized it is simply not possible to proceed without a lawyer.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I've exhausted what public processes were afforded to me and only to find that I've taken it as far as I can go, At this point the only option I have is to allow third party lawyers like Environmental Defence and CELA to look into the merits of the case, specifically with reference to the SLAPP lawsuit, the self-policing of municipalities with regard to OMB decisions, and the legal costs that prevent the average citizen from taking those municipalities to a higher court to ensure compliance of OMB orders.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>To do this, however, I realize it will require the support of GREN to attract interest. Even if GREN does not wish to take a position either way, I believe the actions on the part of the City could change how the West Side Lands will be developed. At this point the only reasonable option I have is to allow an objective third party solicitor to review the matter. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The outcome of this case could be precedent setting, and the only way to accomplish this is to at the very least, request that Environmental Defence or CELA review the paperwork to determine what could be accomplished locally, provincially, and perhaps even nationally on the issues of SLAPPs and the role of the OMB.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I hope as a group, ypu can lend support for the need to review the existing paperwork by these respective agencies.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Thanks kindly for your time.</DIV>
