refillable containers. I will become even more of a fan once
hydrofluorosilicic acid and its trace co-contaminants arsenic, lead and mercury
are no longer a problem in the City of <st1:City w:st="on">Waterloo</st1:City>’s
water; nor a problem in those outlying communities who also receive and drink <st1:City
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Waterloo</st1:place></st1:City>’s ‘fluoridated’
water without knowledge or consent. Healthier is certainly always better.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

Waterloo plans to spend $60,000.00 on a water truck they can use for community
events, that will connect into a fire hydrant or facility water source and then
people can drink tap water from this truck. They also plan to hand out
refillable bottles. The initiative is, in part, to promote how healthy
and safe municipally piped drinking water is supposed to be now. A
problem remains that such promotion is planned to run concurrently with the
water fluoridation debate, education and municipal ballot vote. It is
possible that such promotion will be deemed inappropriate under the Ontario
Municipal Elections Act, because it interferes with a planned ‘fluoridation’
question on the municipal ballot which, amoung other things, challenges the
health and safety of ‘fluoridated’ tap water. </span></font><font
size=2 color=black face=Arial><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Arial;
color:windowtext'>The</span></font><font size=2 color=black face=Arial><span
style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:windowtext'> <span lang=EN-CA>Ontario
Municipal Elections Act likely will require the</span></span></font><font
size=2 color=black face=Arial><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Arial;
color:windowtext'> Region to remain neutral and unbiased once the planned ballot
is passed under by-law (set to happen April 14, 2010). I will certainly
want to see such a ‘neutral tap water stance’ from my Region during
the campaign period for this ballot question. Of course, the Region could
load the tanker with only un-fluoridated tap water whenever filling up and
dispensing. Indeed, under the Ontario Fluoridation Act, they may well be
required to do so. A nice placard indicating fluoride-free water is being
dispensed from this truck would also go a long way.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
