Hon. Premier and MPP’s
Four years ago Doug Ford promised not to expand the Campbellville Quarry and today he is ignoring that promise.
We gathered in Milton to protest this on April 27/2024. We also called to stop the Mount Nemo Quarry Expansion, the Wilmot Farm Expropriation and other MZOs leading to urban sprawl and the destruction of farmland, water resources and wild spaces.
NDP, Green and Liberal Reps of Milton were there along with NDP leader Marit Stiles and Waterloo MPP Catherine Fife (Waterloo), Green Party’s deputy Minister Aislinn Clancy (Kitchener) and Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie all agreeing the Campbellville Quarry must be stopped.
They said Doug Ford has the personal power to stop all these projects today if he wanted to using his pen.
The people of Ontario should not be held hostage to an elected leader holding that kind of power putting at risk our farmlands, water supplies, wild spaces, endangered species, health care, education and long term care. Our very democracy is at risk to bad leadership like Mr. Ford who makes back room decisions without white papers, public consultations, or regard for official plans or Treaty Rights in spite of the fact Canada ratified UNDRIP. We haven’t even seen his mandate letter made public.
I want Canada including all Provinces and territories, to advance reasonable governance based on actual democracy and sound science to protect life supports and to protect the health and safety of our environment and biodiversity. We are not creatures that can survive with the absence of clean air, clean water, farmlands or biodiversity. We have the duty to be good stewards of the earth cross generationally not act like planetary destroyers.
Currently the MNR has issued 13 times more aggregate permits than needed. People acquire them to simply raise property values and it is basically a Ponzi scheme.
We have hospitals cutting hours and instead of properly funding them, the Ford Govermnent withheld 21 Billion to create the appearance of failure to promote privatization. We know Li Ka Shing was investing heavily in Vancouver based Wellhealth Technologies Corp to make medical records digital just prior to Covid 19. Did this allow China to access patient medical records?

Once Covid hit and we were in short supply of masks and other materials to stop the spread, it was China who send supplies to Canada.

Was it actual diplomacy or where there ulterior motives in doing this at a time when Han Dong was running for re-election in Sept 2021? He was on the Standing Committee on Public Accounts in the report Securing Protective Equipment and Medical Devices. Now that we know his campaign used fraudulent voters we should re-examine all the areas he worked in and who he networked with in Canada and China.

There will be an election on May 3rd in Milton. I heard from people who said they will not vote Tory over this issue. It was the same thing I heard in Wilmot Township. This one lady yelled out “Give them the boot”.
Mr. Ford I want you to cancel the Campbellville Quarry Expansion, the Wilmot Farmland expropriation, the Mount Nemo expansion, the 413 Highway Expansion, the Urban Sprawl of 700 hectares in Waterloo Region outside of our official plan, as well as your continued attacks on the Greenbelt and Green Energy projects. Nobody is supporting the Gas Plants or a new spa at Ontario Place or the moving of the Science Centre. Stop wasting our time, our energy and causing duress for the mental well being of countless citizens over such wreckless and unreasonable schemes.
I want you Mr. Ford, to use the power of the pen to stop these horrible project.
In the past men like Rudy Bratty, the Desgasperis family and Marco Muzzo got away with acting like thugs but it is not reasonable to all the culture of bribery, the culture of threats or the contempt for public opinion.
It was Rudy Bratty who commissioned his own environmental studies to prove his properties were ready to be developed. I saw the same conflicts of interest with PEIL and Activa Holdings in Waterloo and I got their experts to sign off their work was insufficient with OMB case PL071044.
During a judicial inquiry into the construction industry launched by the government of Ontario in the early 1970s, Muzzo testified that paying bribes was standard practice-though he claimed he wasn't positive just what he was paying for. It is noted in this article.

The man who built Toronto
Well, okay, maybe just the suburbs. Developer Rudy Bratty is the guy who converted thousands of acres of lush farmland into cookie-cutter subdivisions. But hes had an epiphany: Urban is in. Will people buy it?

Governments in Canada have been complicit and we need to end the cycle of corruption in planning in Ontario.
Developers need to be reminded that they are answerable to the law as any common citizen should be. Stop treating wealthy people with exceptionalism. Start treating all people with equity, dignity and respect. We need to restore fairness to society and governance must exemplify it.
I demand anti racketeering laws, anti grifting laws, and RICO laws to be established with the OPP in partnership with RCMP and US policing agencies to allow them to investigate beyond a single charge. We have many cross jurisdictional organized crime groups operating in Montreal, Ontario and New York and we need a cross jurisdictional system to stop them collaboratively.
I want our policing under the control of an independent Attorney General not a Premier. We need an Independent judiciary. The elected should exemplify the law or face scrutiny under the law as a citizens without exceptionalism.
All government workers in Canada should be held fully accountable to the laws of Canada. It is your own corporate responsibility and duty to serve that obligation as a public servant.
To anyone wishing to hold office there should be background and security checks to make sure they are suitable to handle the files they serve.
Elected officials should receive training in de-escalation skills so decisions are made wisely not on impulse and it helps them when addressing constituents in a position of crisis.
I want all elected officials, including Premiers to obey the laws of Canada and stop making provincial policies to break Canada’s Federal laws. Eg: carbon tax and modifications to the Endangered Species Act.
Policies of exceptionalism to avoid compliance to federal laws must stop. It is not the jurisdiction of the Provincial Government to tinker in the jurisdictional affairs of the Federal Government. There is no provision in the Charter to allow that.
I want all elected officials to stop crafting laws to bypass public processes, official plans and proper scientific analysis. It is a penny wise pound foolish approach that risks destabilizing the Canadian economy and our environment. The last thing we need in the age of climate change is further unpredictability when it comes to water risks, food security or insurance or our economy. Good stewardship requires thinking not impulse. Haste makes waste.
Democracy is ours to protect. I’m doing my part and I pray you do yours.
Yours in good faith
