[All] Reminder - Rally at FordFest at Bingeman's Today (Fri, Sept 8th) 4pm to 6pm

Good Day!

This Friday, September 8th Doug Ford is bringing FordFest (or more frequently referred to as Fraudfest) to Bingeman’s Park in Kitchener.  Our environmental and community organizations have been working with labour groups and unions to ensure a memorable welcome for Doug Ford from 4pm to 6pm.  Details are as follows:

	Event - Rally for the Greenbelt at FordFest
	Date - Friday, September 8th
	Time - 4pm to 6pm
	Location - Bingeman’s Event Centre, 450 Bingeman’s Centre Drive, Kitchener
	
We need to send a strong yet peaceful message regarding the Greenbelt Scandal.  We can make provincial headlines if we can get more protestors outside of Bingeman’s than they have attendees to their circus inside Bingeman’s as there is little to celebrate with so many scandals, cuts to the environment, and troubling government actions over the past couple of years.

We are highly recommending carpooling (and being dropped off at the Bingeman’s entrance), transit, or cycling to this event as parking may be an issue.  The Rally location is accessible by Grand River Transit via Route 34 (limited schedule) and Route 204.  It’s located just off the Walter Bean Trail along the Grand River.  Street parking may be available as an option on Hesh Crescent (13 minute walk away), Cedarview Crescent, or in the residential neighbourhoods south of Victoria Street that includes Marketa Crescent (16 minute walk).

Please be creative with signs - there’s lots to comment on - and tell Doug Ford directly the future that you want to see.

Look for our Greeter’s Table with the large Greenbelt Promise Banner to connect with us, sign the latest petition, get more lawn signs, and for any communications at the Rally.

The Conservatives have declared war on the Greenbelt and the value of protected spaces everywhere.  Lets take action together and send a strong message Friday!
