Hi folks

We have the Auditor General Report online that gives 15 recommendations including one that they re-evaluate the 2022 decision to approve Bill 23.  Full report is here:  https://www.auditor.on.ca/en/content/specialreports/specialreports/Greenbelt_en.pdf 
Doug Ford stated publicly he will act on 14 of the 15 conditions leaving out this one suggesting he reconsider the approval of Bill 23. 

When the Attorney General was told Ford would not comply with that recommendation she responded “We’ll let the OPP handle that.” 
What has less attention though is the fact Ontario has a new Francophone Lieutenant Governor, Edith Dumont. It is the Lieutenant governor whom the premier and ministers advise, exercising much of the royal prerogative and granting royal assent. She’s more powerful than Ford. If she thinks the OPP should act and he doesn’t he’s out of luck. 
And the oaths for Attorney Generals have changed since the SNC Lavalin scandal reflecting a stronger emphasis for everyone to follow Rule of Law. This statement here helped justified the modifications of the oath as written by the Honourable A. Anne McClellan.  She states:
