By now we've all likely heard the terrible news over the last few days about Bill 23 and other proposals being forced through by Doug Ford’s Conservative government under the guise of building more houses.  We are all trying to figure things out and understand all the implications for the environment, climate change, and the future of our province. Waterloo Regional Staff have written a report that will be coming to the final Regional Council meeting tomorrow (Tuesday at 1:15pm) for the 2018-2022 Council.  Myself, Kevin Eby, Mark Reusser, and Sam Nabi will be delegating on it.  It lists many dire outcomes and consequences for our region including the complete gutting of our visionary Regional Official Plan that was just completed:




We will have to figure out what we can do to be most effective to see Bill 23 repealed or at least the worst aspects corrected.  In the meantime please share concerns and information widely with others and consider calling your Member of Provincial Parliament directly to express concerns.
