[All] Time to chime in on Plastic Waste issues.

Greenpeace has a great article about the different international shifts to reduce waste but Canada's Policy lacks regard for reusable materials. While Canada recently released regulations outlining the ban on six single-use plastic items, a lack of reuse targets or replacement requirements means that single-use plastics will mostly likely just be swapped out for other throwaway alternatives.

The Government of Canada encourages stakeholders, partners and Canadians to participate in the consultation on the proposed Regulations. The consultation period will run until March 5, 2022. The contact people to give comments to is included.
