If you were not already aware, Rick Esbaugh is trying to get a new license
for a gravel pit on a land currently used as prime farmland, which is also
on a regional drinking water recharge area, hauling 750,000 tonnes annually
on a township road, and backing onto the established community of
Shingletown.

*We fear this application could create **devastating public health and
safetyimpacts** with unidentified and misrepresented impacts* so close to a
community’s **air**, **roads**, **drinking water **and **sustainable food
systems**.*

There appears to be *no need* for more pits in this area, with almost a
full country block already licensed, and mostly unaccessed and unused,
immediately south of the proposed Hallman pit.

Each objector who does not respond to this letter will be* removed from the
list of objectors. The number of objectors has an impact. *

Rick Esbaugh has been able to use what could be called a 'loop hole' in the
system to already remove the majority of objectors.

Make sure it is known that *you* oppose the Hallman pit.
