[All] Official Event Invite: Greenbelt West Coalition Campaign Launch - Tues, Dec 14th 9:30am

GREN Members,

In anticipation of Premier Doug Ford’s announcement of Greenbelt expansion along the Paris-Galt Moraine and the re-introduction of Green Party Leader Mike Schreiner’s Bill #71 - The Paris Galt Moraine Protection Act, a broad coalition of area environmental groups have put together an extensive map of areas in the Grand River Watershed that need better protection and should be included in any Greenbelt expansion.

There is going to be a Launch Event for this campaign map this coming Tuesday, December 14th at 9:30am just south of Guelph on the Macrolongo Farm Foundation property on the Paris-Galt Moraine.  It is anticipated that MPP’s from all political parties will be attending including prominent MPP’s such as Green Party Leader Mike Schreiner, NDP Environment Critic Sandy Shaw, and others.

I will be there representing GREN that is a member of the Greenbelt West Coalition.  Please feel free to join us if you can - additional details are below.

Hopefully, we can help to guide any Greenbelt expansion in the right directions over the year ahead.
