They arrested people at Six Nations protesting the building of a subdivision on their Treaty Land and a court hearing took place which was why people gathered for a rally and March at Queen's Park, the Ontario Legislature. 
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested Indigenous people on their own lands  and today the Provincial Court said protesters have 12 days to get off the property.
In my view this is abuse of dominance and a violation of International law. Neither the Province nor OPP have any jurisdictional authority on Treaty lands which is a Federal Issue. This is land theft. Stealing of Indigenous lands to generate Provincial tax revenues is happening all across Ontario right now. Ontario's aggregate maps have no regard for Treaty Rights. This mapping shows that all of Southern Ontario is available to mine. It is unreasonable. No regard for source water protections or treaty lands. 


We have Glen Abbey Golf Course on Treaty Lands in the OMB about a proposed 3000+ houses on stage 2 wellhead areas in the habitat of endangered species and upstream of Oakville Ontario's water intake. It's a wreckless move to put uninsurable homes in such a place. My view this tax grab would quickly be surpassed with the cost of flood damages and lost potable water resource. They are investing in loss here.

Ontario built Waterloo on the Haldimand Tract lands. Leases and sales, now worth trillions and none of it is Internationally legal. 
At the event speakers said there can be no end to systemic violence and discrimination  in Canada without giving the lands back. Others said we are stuck in an abusive system. Recently in Quebec Joyce Echaquan died in hospital. Her new grandchild was just born there in the same place. They have no choice but to use the same systems linked to the abuse experienced because we have no alternatives. We need to assure the safety of all people both Indigenous and non indigenous. 
Another speaker said they can't arrest all of us. We need to show support in big numbers and he said they are using the lawsuits simply to physically remove people and to use the economic costs of arrest as a threat to silence public participation. I agreed. I said this entire process is a SLAPP: Strategic litigation against public participation. The government is acting like thugs for hire. I personally lobbied 10 years and spoke to the judiciary about the need for Anti Slapp laws in Ontario and now I see our own Province acting like Mafia. It greatly disappointed me. 
A rep from Six Nations said it shouldn't be illegal for them to gather to defend their rights. I agree.

I was there in support. I am of the line of Membertou and Charles V. The Acadian Indigenous families that sealed the deal of the Vatican Concordat of 1610. My view, the way Canada is behaving they are violating law willfully, using abusive court processes and policing with no jurisdictional power to cause both fiscal harm and economic duress for people who are simply demanding that Canada comply with it's own Charter of Human Rights, Constitutional laws and International friendship treaties. Canada cannot continually attack First Nations as a business model. This is abuse of dominance, anti competitive, anti democratic, and lacks regard for UNDRIP and International law.  This isn't just about the land. This is a fiscal violation of the Competitions Act and WTO policies and International trade policy. It is theft and tax fraud. How can Canada justify sanctions for violations of human rights while committing the same crimes domestically against Soverign Nations. 
I am related to your own Queen who already apologized for the deportation of the Acadians. It is time to stop committing the same transgressions.

We cannot allow the continuation of sexism and racism to divide us but the truth is, Canada was founded on it. 

The Act of Settlement and Oath of Succession is incompatible with modern understand of human rights, equity and ethics. It is time to fully ratify UNDRIP. It is time to give the lands back and it is time for truth. 
Not only are Catholics banned from succession, but the sovereign must be in communion with the Church of England, must swear to preserve the church, and to uphold the Protestant line of succession. This appears to discriminate against other faiths, including Jews, Muslims and Hindus. We can't advance if we continue to drag tools of divisions and oppression into the future.
