[All] Province Suspends Environmental Rules

Hi folks,

The provincial government as part of its CoVID-19 response is using emergency powers to bypass the requirements for the EBR - the environmental registry as well as public consultation - even public notification.  You can learn more in the article below:

While right now there doesn’t seem to be any immediate concerns who knows how developers and others may try to use this new loop hole to push through nefarious things.  Certainly Alberta and the US EPA have done some very concerning things recently cancelling environmental reporting and enforcement.

Please share anything that you may learn or come across and we can try to figure out how best to respond as a community.
