Good Morning GREN!

This coming Saturday, KW Urban Harvester<https://shoutout.wix.com/so/bbMpirAHV/click?w=LS0tDQo4MWRiNTQ3NS0xMGU1LTQyNTMtYjc3Zi0xMzVmYTE5Mjc0ZWUNCmh0dHA6Ly93d3cua3d1cmJhbmhhcnZlc3Rlci5vcmcNCi0tLQ>, is seeking volunteers to help to create some pollinator gardens. It has been a long process to plan this project that should increase the productivity of our community garden by encouraging the presence of pollinator species like bees.

This is a great way to promote local food, help the environment, and meet others in the community at the same time! Children are more than welcome as this is an excellent opportunity for them to learn about gardening and the natural processes that help our food grow.

Further details are below. If interested, please either reply to this email or email kwurbanharvester at gmail.com<mailto:kwurbanharvester at gmail.com> to let us know so that we can plan accordingly.

Date: Saturday, September 7th (from 10 am-12:30 pm),
Location: 66 Hickory Street West, Waterloo (just off of Albert, one street past University on the right when coming from Uptown Waterloo, at Wilfrid Laurier's Northdale Campus). We are located at the back of the parking lot on top of the hill.
What to Bring: Gardening gloves, a shovel, a gardening spade and water if you can. Pizza will be provided for volunteers.
Rain Date: Sunday, September 8th at the same time.

Looking forward to making this project finally happen. We need 20-30 people to come out on this day to get the work done, so fingers crossed many of you can make it! It will be really lovely to see all these plants go in this beautiful community garden!

P.S. If you like, you can also come out to our planning workshop on Tuesday, September 3rd from 7 - 8:30 pm at the same location (Rain date Wednesday, September 4th). At this workshop, you will learn more about what pollinator plants we have suggested and get an opportunity to give your input on the planting that will occur.
