This Omnibus Bill of Doug Ford is daunting. No white paper, no consultation, no common sense to justify any of it. Visit the link. So many changes it's overwelming and tomorrow is the last comment day.
>From allowing US milk to weakened aggregate and environmental policies this government is going full stream ahead into a rock wall removing safeguards that took ages to put into place. No fiscal, judicial or scientific justification for any of it.

This was sent by the London chapter.
Last week some of us were alerted by Environmental Defence to some of the dangers in Ontario omnibus Bill 132. The committee is holding hearings now. While it is too late to apply to make presentations in person to the committee, there are still ways to fight this bill. Here is a summary of the resources and ways for you to follow up (compiled by London Chapter member Margo Does and myself).
The electronic version of the bill is available here: https://www.ola.org/en/legislative-business/bills/parliament-42/session-1/bill-132]
The public has until midnight on Wednesday Nov 27 to make comments on the Environmental Registry of Ontario at http://ero.ontario.ca/notice/019-0774.
The deadline for written submissions to the The Standing Committee on General Government is 5 pm, Friday November 29. Send written submissions to:
The Standing Committee on General Government Jocelyn McCauley, Clerk Room 1405, Whitney Block
Queen's Park, Toronto, ON M7A 1A2
Email comm-generalgov at ola.org
Telephone: (416) 325-7352
Facsimile: (416) 325-3505
TTY: (416) 325-3538 Collect calls will be accepted.
While it is urgent to make comments to the Committee and to the ERO before the deadlines above, there is no deadline for emailing your MPP, Jeff Yurek (Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks) jeff.yurek at pc.ola.org, Doug Ford (Premier of Ontario and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs) doug.fordco at pc.ola.org, Steve Clark (Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing) steve.clark at pc.ola.org; or signing the letter at OntarioNotForSale.ca, or the LeadNow letter here.
Please read the material from Environmental Defence below.
Also, Margo made a presentation to the Committee on behalf of Nature London. Excerpts from her presentation are attached with her permission. Her closing remarks are from the heart.

Hi all,
Two resources attached here, one being a more general brochure on what's happening with the Bill and the second a collection of notes on the pieces we've been able to look at so far.
Please consider the notes a draft and subject to change or be added on to as more analysis comes together. I hope this is helpful for now.
Best Kelsey
