Dear GREN-friends:

We're hoping that some GREN supporters will attend this important meeting of environmental groups, "Together for Ontario". The organizers are asking for $40 to register for a ticket (see below).

That is rather stiff and GREN has decided to give some modest financial assistance to those who might be deterred or prevented from attending because of the price. I'm the treasurer. If you feel you need some financial help to be able to afford to attend, please contact me. We would be able to pay $20 of your costs.

This is how we will handle it. Assistance is limited so get in touch with me right away. Once we have agreed to help you, please register for the workshop using the link below. I will attend the meeting. Bring your acknowledgement of registration with you. You can touch base with me there and I will give you the $20 to help defray your expenses. You'll just have to sign a receipt acknowledging that you have received $20 from GREN to attend the workshop.

Hoping to see some of you at the workshop,

Greg Michalenko

Subject: [All] Together for Ontario Event - Sat, June 8th Waterloo, Ontario

Hi GREN folks,

In just a few weeks environmental groups from across Ontario are going to be meeting right here in Waterloo to launch a co-ordinated response to the ongoing attacks of the Ford government on our environment and province.

There is going to be a full day event held on Saturday, June 8th at Wilfrid Laurier University from 10:00am to 6:30pm organized by Environmental Defence, Ontario Nature, The David Suzuki Foundation, Earthroots, The Wellington Water Watchers, The Ontario Clean Air Alliance, Food & Water First, The Simcoe County Greenbelt Coalition, Environmental Hamilton, Gravel Watch Ontario, and also with whatever assistance the Grand River Environmental Network can provide.

You can register to attend at the following link:

https://act.environmentaldefence.ca/page/42479/event/1
Attend An Event<https://act.environmentaldefence.ca/page/42479/event/1>
act.environmentaldefence.ca

You can also find the schedule for the day and other information as it comes available at that web site address.

Please let me know any questions and ideas. Hopefully, we can begin to work with groups from across the province on a plan to survive the next three years and ensure that our province ultimately becomes an environmental and sustainability leader.

Cheers,
Kevin.
