Please arrive early - the motion is at the top of the agenda

Join us at Kitchener's  <https://divestwaterloo.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=0b5db4dc101fa6900d29775d0&id=f5252c21db&e=8ba68327ce> City Council meeting where Councillors will be voting on a climate emergency declaration for the City of Kitchener! The declaration includes a carbon budget, which will keep the city accountable and on track to meet its emission goals. Declaring a Climate Emergency is the critical first step to launching the comprehensive mobilization solution required to rescue and rebuild civilization.

Let’s show Council that we support bold action to address the climate crisis. This is democracy in action!

We want to fill the chambers, so please share this invitation widely! If you can't make it, please ask a friend to attend in your place. Please note that this will be a respectful display of support for this motion.

Declaring a Climate Emergency can help ensure that we meet (or exceed) that goal!
